I'm currently running the project called TKE Vodcast. It's a project for me to collect the questions from the fans to ask to the producers on behalf of @tecmokoeieurope. I went to Japan for TGS 2011, besides giving you the updates from the show floor, I've also carried this project with me when I was there. A new interview video will be published every Thursday until November 4, 2011.
How was it like to have the interview session with the producers? Well, as you can see from the videos that I've made some English mistakes. This has already shown that I was nervous as it's my first time actually talked to some of the producers. But from this experience, I've actually learnt to be less nervous, also picked up some mistakes and got improved, so this is all really good. I don't really mind about other people laughing over my poor performance in some seconds though, I'm really happy to know so I know which area I can improve from that.
It's really the experience that counts. I'm glad that I had this opportunity to do this. If there's a chance to do something similar like this again, I believe I can do better from the experience. Although my role is the community manager (before I was the web designer), I'm lucky to be able to learn and experience many things in different areas, which is also making my job less boring in this case. At last, I hope you enjoyed the interview videos! Remember, it's updated every Thursday!
This is a quick update to tell you that I'm attending to Tokyo Game Show 2011 in Japan. During my travelling period, I would like to make some videos so all of you are able to enjoy the trip, just like I do. I planned to do a live stream when it's available. If there's no wifi support in the area. I would just do the stream back in my hotel room if I have time, but definitely, I will record some footage for you.
That's the live stream channel there (above) - It would go live any time between those dates, but if you really want to get notified in real time, feel free to follow me @inspchin on Twitter. Hopefully I could bring some surprises to you and have a safe, fun trip too!
There's one thing I would like to mention before I end this update. It's always your good attitude brings you surprises and gets you a step further for a life change, so be sure to be wise, follow your heart and no excuses for being lazy. None of us is perfect, but as long as we try our best, it's good enough already. I'm practising and applying this to my daily life as well. Also, sorry if I'm not being too active as like the past. That's because I'm with all these preparations, routines and many things in my life. But guys, keep in touch and don't lose connecting! You rock my fucking socks!
It's been a great journey so far. August is definitely the month of me shutting myself off a little bit. While lying in bed during my serious illness in the past few weeks, I've realized how important the life is and how I love life. So apart from living it to the fullest, I also want to make a difference to learn and improve to be a better person. Apart from that. Thank you for over 50K views on TKE Insider!
"Do not be afraid to chase your dream. Do not afraid to be who you want to be and also to give opportunities to others for who they want to be too."
"Everything happens for a reason, pick it up, learn from it, and try your best."
"Protect what you love to make it stronger, but do not destroy what you dislike, leave it there for now, you might need it one day."
"Time tells the story and we shouldn't judge people based on their yesterday, but today."
I have no projects running this month at all. So I'm taking this opportunity for some self-analysis with some learning and I'm going to lay down for a bit. I'll be back!
First of all, I have no idea what this update is for but since one of my quotes got trended, which is "I have a heart of a Jesus Christ" so I think it's good to do some updates here. Listen to the podcast here and you'll know what I'm talking about here. A big shout out to @GetALifePodcast and I'm honoured to get featured on Get A Life Podcast - Episode 21: Chinisode by talking about the latest TECMO KOEI game releases, DLC and a little bit about myself, which you can listen to the podcast online or on iTunes. It's my very first time doing the podcast so please expect some slight mistakes there.
Apart from that, I'll have something coming. Yes, I'll be working something with the Spanish site (TBA / TBC) and I'll tell you when it's confirmed and finalized for sure. As for the podcast, Here's a little something that made by cloudjj108 from what I've said around the end bit, it's hilarious!
Thanks a lot for thinking I'm one of the best humans in this planet, it's really flattering! And for now, I can't wait to get down on Friday again because it's going to be my day of shuffling!
If you would love to get featured on the Shuffle Friday site, you can always send us the video response and we'll put it there every Friday for you! I think many people have or haven't noticed about how social network has changed their lives. I have a video made by fishyowns here to tell you how Facebook has changed his life, please disregard the rant at the first minute of the video.
At last, I would like to say and have to agree that social network has changed many people's lives. It's also one of the reasons I always accept the friendship and never "Hide" anyone's updates because all the things you could learn and all the opportunities you could get these days are mostly from the social network. When you have the chance coming, always remember to take it and do your best with it. Don't let others to stop you from doing what you want - it doesn't matter if you're amazing or not so amazing. Just do it!
Life moves on and it's stressful. I'm now in progress of making a website for Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 3 and at the same time, I'm doing some preparations for the things I'm going to do when I'm at the Japan Expo 12 (in Paris) from June 30th until July 3rd. So you won't be seeing more Chinspectacular episodes until then.
I'll be quite silent for a short while from now. There are many projects coming, I have to take it and I hope I can learn more and achieve something from it, so I can have more celebrations later. By the way, feel free to check out the latest episodes of Chinspectacular - I have attended to Duke Nukem's Launch Party and also experienced the Child of Eden on Kinect. So there are 2 episodes that have been made, with a bonus footage, thanks to my friend @benbateman for this.
I'm looking forward to finish all the current projects so I can chill a little bit for more Chinspiration, and think of something more exciting to do. Thank you for all the amazing journey so far guys!
I'm TECMO KOEI's Mr. Party Animal. I love expo shows and I love to meet people, so everytime I've been told that I have to come to the certain of expo shows, I got really horny. Some of the events I'm attending aren't related to TECMO KOEI but I love to experience and see what others do things.
Here's my event schedule list, let's see if we're able to meet each other in any of these shows!
There should be some more in between the list, as most people I know are always last minute. But those are the main ones and I hope we're able to meet each other in person!
Back from the London MCM Expo now. It was a blast! A proper report would be made on Insp. Chin's Blog with all the related TK game coverage (still doing my Internet surfing on the articles and videos) - But the expo was really amazing, it's good to see everyone again and it's been too long. I'm also very happy to meet more friends from my Twitter and Facebook from Internet to real life, you guys are amazing and thanks for dropping by, saying hi, taking pictures and tweeting like a bitch!
There are a lot of people to thank, thank you for coming, thank you for cosplaying me, thank you for the good times and everything. I think this expo is actually the first one who got me backache because I was demo-ing a horse racing game on PlayStation Move. One of the highlights is I've hit someone right in the face while I was whipping my horse really hard and got into it.
The expo was really busy this time, I didn't manage to get as much pictures or as much videos as I did in the past, but I won't let those crazy and sweet memories away from me. Also, I'm amazed on how people still remembered and told me, "Chin, I am who the fuck I am!" - This is awesome, and as you can see in the video attached, this is totally who the fuck I am! Thank you all again for letting me taking off my mask and let me able to be myself, and I hope you all had a good time!!
UPDATE!! I whipped into someone's face while I was playing Champion Jockey. I laughed so hard by just thinking of it, thanks to @benbateman (the awesome community manager from Codemasters) for putting this up. This has totally made my day!!
Most people know me from Tecmo Koei and yes, I have been here for 2 years now and it is still my main connection. It's strange because for me it feels longer than that. I think it's because I've been the fan since I was 13, that's why it feels longer.
One awesome thing to work in video gaming industry is you're able to work with Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox, both are amazing companies. Since I'm in charge on the community, I also get to know many media. One of the most amazing thing in my life is I've actually visited to Google office and also the opportunity to meet Facebook staff to learn the way they do things. My main connection stays still to Tecmo Koei. I love to learn and pick up many things from those great companies and they're an inspiration to me to continue to work hard and improve myself and the company I'm working for.
I'm Insp. Chin, real name is Chin Soon Sun, fortunate to one of the dotcom era child. Many of you might question of why inspector? To be honest with you, I do not have a clue. It's just something that came to my head - a short form like Dr., Jr., Lt., then why not an Insp.?
I'm based in UK (was born in Malaysia), working in the video game industry which I never thought it could actually happened in my life. It's just because when I was small, my parents were really against me playing video games and I've failed in almost all subjects in school. But when a kid faced many failures, he would either become better or worse next - and I'm glad that I've realized about my failure in time and wanted to make a change for myself, so I attended to the Computer Science course, received the scholarship, made it to UK's university and now I'm here working at Tecmo Koei. It's been quite a journey with ups and downs, but always remember that you don't have to stick with all the bad things that others said to you. If you know it's a right thing to do, then do it; if you aren't sure whether you're doing it right or wrong and can't find a solution, then you're allowed to make that mistakes and learn from it - and stay humble!

When I was young, my environment wasn't that encouraging to actually let me having the "dare" to dream because my parents wanted me to be a better person in their own way (a doctor, a scientist), not my way of being who I wanted to be (a stylist, a designer) - I think the main reason for an Asian family is they want their children to look good among the others so you don't get looked down. Because of this, I've missed a lot of opportunities of what I wanted to do, and I wasn't from a wealthy family myself, that made me have absolute no guts to dream and continue. But with the first computer I've got back in the year of 2000, I spent a lot of my time learning how to make websites by self taught - Internet has become my interest. I still failed in school and most of my relatives weren't that supportive either because I was poor and useless.
There was full of discouragement going on that I had finally lost my direction of life until when I was 18 and decided to go to the college to learn something that I want, to do something that I'm good at. I've put a lot of effort into it and actually achieved something that I would never have the "dare" to dream - to reach to UK. Everything seems to be easier these days but if you think about this 10 years ago, to a very poor Asian family, it's almost unlikely to happen.
[L - aged 16, during my secondary school time; R - aged 19, during my college time]
So, I reached to UK. Everything's new to me and first thing I needed to learn is my English. Back in my time, our education back there wasn't that good. We had to speak Malay in schools, and for me I speak Chinese to my family and friends, so there's zero use on English. So learn to speak English well is my first goal when I reached to this English land. So I studied, and graduated, been through a lot of rejects and downfall, I've finally made it to here, started as an assistant, web designer, and now, the community manager.

Being a community manager, I've learned a lot from the people that I've known and that's why I love to stay connected and interact with people, so I can learn from everyone from their different ways of thinking. Not forget to mention, I always make mistakes, but the mistakes made me realize about the chances for a better improvement. Talking about myself, I'd love to make things simple to myself and my friends. I don't watch many movies, but my interest is actually watching the talkshow from inspired people, by picking up their helpful advice and applying into my life.
[L - aged 25, with the cosplay sensations; R - aged 26, with Tecmo Koei & Team Ninja]
There are a lot of people I'd like to thank in my life. I think without their support and love, things would never be possible. There are more than a hundred individuals I would love to say thanks with (you know who you are) - thanks again for the amazing journey and I can't wait to see what is next for my life! I think that's basically what you have to know about the "Inspector" as an introduction. But if you have any question you can always tweet @inspchin - I'm more than welcome to answer and connect with you - or maybe would do another update here when I get enough of content.

DW7: Xtreme Legends – 3rd DLC Schedule (January 2012)
(January 4, 2012 @ 10:59 AM via Insp. Chin's Blog)
This is the schedule for the 3rd batch of Dynasty Warriors 7: Xtreme Legends (PS3) DLC, coming to Europe on January 18, 2012 and North America a day earlier, which is January 17, 2012. This is my personal opinion – I think some of them are worth to purchase (especially the Fantasy Costume), but some of them aren’t (especially you have to pay for the wallpapers with such price *I wouldn’t*), it’s just what I think..
